About the Author

Pamela Andrews, from Salisbury, Maryland is president and founding member of the Lyme Disease Association of Delmarva, a non-profit organization established in 2003, dedicated to assisting patients of Lyme disease and other tick-born co-infections. Her passion for helping Lyme disease patients comes from having family members who have suffered from tick-borne illnesses, and her own journey fighting these diseases.

Ms. Andrews is retired from a twenty-five year career as program director of Delmarva Public Radio, where she programmed a classical music station, WSCL-FM, and a news and information station, WSDL-FM. For many years, she also produced annual music festivals, called CELEBRATIONS OF MUSIC, featuring regional classical music performers. Ms. Andrews was a founding member and past-president of The Eastern Shore Opera Society. She also served as chair of the music committee of Asbury United Methodist Church.

LYME WARS - A LOVE STORY is Ms. Andrews first novel, and draws upon her thirty years experience representing patients of tick-borne diseases. LYME WARS does not explore all the suffering endured by patients of chronic Lyme disease during many years or decades of their illness. This story explores the personal and psychological impact of having chronic illnesses that are denied and often ridiculed by the medical community writ large. Thus there exists much misinformation among the public and medical community.
